Limnen — Copyright and DMCA Policy
Effective Date: July 22, 2026
Manoli Studio Lab, Inc. ("Limnen," "we," "us," or "our") respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects the people who use Limnen to do the same. This policy explains how to report material on the Service that you believe infringes your copyright, how to respond if your material has been removed, and what happens to accounts that repeatedly infringe.
This policy is part of, and incorporated into, our Terms of Service.
#Designated Copyright Agent
We have registered a designated agent with the United States Copyright Office to receive notifications of claimed copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512).
Designated Agent: Copyright Manager
Service Provider: Manoli Studio Lab, Inc.
Also known as: Limnen, Limnen.co
Address: 2021 Fillmore St, PMB 2310, San Francisco, CA 94115, United States
Email: dmca@limnen.co
Phone: (415) 996-6074
Copyright Office Registration Number: DMCA-1076029
Please send copyright notices and counter-notifications to the designated agent above. Inquiries that are not copyright notices — support questions, general legal correspondence — should go to support@limnen.co or legal@limnen.co, so that copyright matters are not delayed.
#Reporting Claimed Copyright Infringement
If you believe material available on or through the Service infringes a copyright you own or are authorized to act on behalf of, send a written notification to our designated agent that includes all of the following. These elements are required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), and a notice that omits them may not be effective.
- A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or, if multiple copyrighted works at a single site are covered by a single notification, a representative list of those works.
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity, and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material — for example, a URL, a project or file name, or a description specific enough for us to find it.
- Information reasonably sufficient to permit us to contact you, such as an address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
Send the notice to dmca@limnen.co, or by mail to the designated agent address above.
#What We Do When We Receive a Notice
When we receive a notice that substantially complies with the requirements above, we will act expeditiously to remove or disable access to the material claimed to be infringing. Where we can reasonably do so, we will notify the user who provided the material, give them a copy of the notice, and inform them of their right to submit a counter-notification.
We may also remove or disable access to material we believe in good faith to be infringing, whether or not we have received a notice.
#Counter-Notification
If your material was removed or disabled and you believe that removal was the result of mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notification to our designated agent. Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3), it must include all of the following:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled, and the location at which the material appeared before it was removed or access to it was disabled.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification of the material.
- Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located — or, if your address is outside of the United States, for any judicial district in which we may be found — and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original notification or an agent of that person.
If we receive a valid counter-notification, we will forward it to the person who sent the original notice. Unless that person notifies us that they have filed an action seeking a court order to restrain the allegedly infringing activity, we may restore the removed material in not less than ten (10) and not more than fourteen (14) business days after receiving the counter-notification.
#Repeat Infringers
We maintain a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances and at our discretion, the accounts of users who are repeat infringers. We may also limit access to the Service, or terminate an account, for any user who infringes the intellectual property rights of others, whether or not there is a repeat occurrence.
#Misrepresentations
Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees. Do not make claims in a notice or counter-notification that you have not carefully considered.
If you are unsure whether material infringes your copyright, or whether an exception such as fair use applies, consider consulting an attorney before submitting a notice. Nothing in this policy is legal advice.
#Your Content on Limnen
Limnen gives writers software to organize, analyze, and develop their own work, including material they upload as Sources. As set out in our Terms of Service, you are responsible for the material you upload and must have the rights necessary to use it through the Service. Limnen does not grant you rights in third-party material, and the availability of a tool to analyze material is not permission to use material you do not have the right to use.
#Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the Effective Date above. Our designated agent registration is maintained with the U.S. Copyright Office and renewed as required.
